About this team
Reporting into the Senior Manager, Learning & Leadership, APAC, the Learning & Leadership Partner, Japan, will enable delivery of training, development and on-boarding programs for stores and our corporate teams in Japan Store Support Centre (SSC) through the most effective and consumable means using the right method/channel, for the right audience, at the right time through the most effective and consumable means. You will be responsible for ensuring the curriculum is localized, integrated, up-to-date and utilizes innovative delivery techniques and modalities to maximize skill acquisition and knowledge retention, as well as measuring and monitoring training effectiveness.
A day in the life:
- Consult and partner with Business Leaders to create and execute an annual learning strategy including onboarding of new employees and ongoing development for existing teams in Japan
- Execute market or departmental training needs analysis creating localized offerings where needed
- Create a clear enrolment and communication strategy on learning plans
- Identify, prepare and develop facilitators to support the delivery of training programs, in addition to co-design and delivery of Train-the Trainer to ensure a best in class learning experience across the region
- Facilitate and deliver learning programs and experiences that require advanced facilitation
- Identify and implement appropriate localization of global learning assets including managing program logistics for participants
- Evaluate the success of training programs through various methods, including observation, surveys, interviews, and feedback
- Remain immersed in the larger lululemon organization through attending regular team meetings, department offsites and Area level gatherings
- Partner with program manager/s and/or learning designer to advise on program sustainment.
Qualifications:
- Recommended 3+ years training experience or equivalent
- Fluent in English and Japanese
- Regularly leads training and can adapt to various levels of experience and learning styles
- Detail oriented and loves to brainstorm, plan, schedule, execute AND then go back – review and evolve
- Great at getting related to everyone quickly and works well cross functionally
- Proactive leader with excellent future focused planning, time management and organization skills
- Strong project and time management skills
- Experienced and skilled communicator, trainer, facilitator and coach
- Coachable and has an appetite to grow in our organization through developing others
- Available and willing to travel up to 3-5 nights per quarter
- Experience creating learning support elements (posters, job aids, decks)
