About this team
lululemon Localization team lead the organization-wise localization strategy and projects, and support business partners to achieve operation excellence.
We are seeking an experienced English to Spanish (Mexico) linguist to support our team in delivering high-quality translation and copywriting work. You will work closely with regional Localization Managers and Leads to ensure quality and timely delivery. We expect you to be passionate about languages, and cross-cultural communication.
Responsibilities
Produce intentional, impactful, Spanish (Mexico) content for external and internal audiences across varied channels.
Proactively pursue excellence in translation quality and consistency across all platforms in your language.
Play a key role in the proofreading phase of all major translation processes, including digital platforms, learning and leadership, and packing and labels.
Understand the needs of our international users.
Contribute to the maintenance of style guides, translation memories, and glossaries.
Contribute to quality control by providing feedback on vendor and AI translation via the Localization Lead.
Translate or transcreate urgent content and support immediate business needs such as media releases, internal global to local communications, training materials, digital advertisements, etc.
Qualifications
Native-level knowledge of Spanish (Mexico) and English in both oral and written
Passion for translation and languages, with at least 5 years’ experience of hands-on translation and creative copywriting
Extensive knowledge of language and culture differences and nuances
Good time management, organizational skills and multitasking abilities
Knowledge of localization technologies and trends, including various TMS and CAT tools
Basic knowledge of HTML and TXML technologies and assets is a plus
