“FP&A” is responsible for planning and managing lululemon’s overall financial performance. a day in the life: what you’ll do

Reporting to the Manager, FP&A – you will be responsible for analysing and managing product margin performance while also overseeing Brand marketing and headcount budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals.

  • Lead product margin reporting & analysis – track and analyse product margin across multiple channels, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Manage markdown & discount analysis – Evaluate the financial impact of markdown strategies and promotional activities, providing recommendations for margin optimization.
  • Support financial planning & forecasting – assist in the development of product margin forecasts (5-year, 1 year and monthly) and brand marketing spend projections, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Manage brand marketing budgets – partner with the marketing team to track, analyse, and optimize marketing spend, ensuring budgets are effectively allocated to maximize ROI. 
  • Collaborate with key business partners – work closely with merchandising, planning, marketing, and finance teams to provide financial insights that support strategic decisions.
  • Deliver business insights & recommendations – Develop and present regular and ad hoc reporting on both margin performance and marketing budget utilization.
  • Enhance reporting & process efficiency – Support the evolution of financial models and reporting tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability in both margin analysis and marketing spend tracking.
  • Partner with people & culture to ensure that headcount plans align with financial goals. 


qualifications, skills & experience 

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree and professional accounting qualification (ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent)
  • Min (4+ years) post qualified experience in FP&A/Commercial Finance
  • Strong understanding of performance drivers across Franchise and Wholesale partnerships
  • Ability to build, analyze and interpret complex financial reports and projections in MS Excel
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiples task in a time sensitive manner
  • Strong ability to adhere to deadlines under pressure, dependable and solution oriented
  • Quick learner and adaptable to an ever-changing environment
  • Excellent team player and ability to work independently
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to provide visibility to key business decisions
  • Self-starter of a proactive nature

In-person collaboration is important, and much of the role can be performed remotely. Work is performed at both the SSC office and home office every week.
