about this team

The Sample Yardage function sits within Commercialization Operations and is responsible for facilitating the ordering and coordination of sample materials across all divisions of the business for product development purposes.

 

core responsibilities

This role is responsible for leading the work of the Sample Yardage function, ensuring consistency, organization, and efficiency in raw material sampling processes to deliver prototypes and development samples throughout the go-to-market calendar. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Strategize and identify opportunities for optimization of sample yardage processes
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Tech partners to identify tools for current and future sampling needs, and implementing optimized sample ordering processes
  • Collaborate with the Go to Market (GTM) team to identify sample yardage processes within the calendar
  • Enroll internal and external partners in best practices, policies, processes, and timelines pertaining to delivering samples
  • Support the Sample Yardage team with the coordination of all subsequent development sample yardage requirements as needed
  • Build relationships and support the greater business through managing and making available relevant raw material sample information
  • Manage the creation and upkeep of sample yardage SOPs
  • Support the Raw Materials Library team with additional workload and projects as needed

 

qualifications

  • You have experience in production, supply chain or apparel operations, and/or order & inventory management
  • You have a thorough understanding of sampling and production processes
  • You are a strong team player and are excited to learn about cross functional accountabilities and requirements 
  • You are an organized self-starter, who thrives in understanding the logistics and details of the workflow 
  • You are a clear, concise and confident communicator 
  • You enjoy a fast-paced environment and can create order from chaos 
  • Proficient in Smartsheet, Microsoft Excel and Word, solid understanding of Adobe Illustrator and PLM systems an asset 
  • Able to work against deadlines and conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment

compensation and benefits package 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $96,800-127,100annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
