what you’ll do 

As a Senior Store Designer, you’ll be a creative leader and strategic partner, driving the design of high-profile retail environments across North America. You’ll lead complex projects from concept to construction, translating brand vision into spatial experiences that inspire movement, connection, and discovery. 


Here’s how you’ll make an impact: 

  • Lead with Vision: Own the design journey for flagship and complex retail projects, from early concept through construction. 
  • Design the Experience: Create compelling spatial layouts, storefronts, custom fixtures, and immersive environments that reflect lululemon’s brand and values. 
  • Collaborate & Influence: Partner with internal teams and external consultants to ensure every detail—from lighting to millwork—is intentional, buildable, and beautiful. 
  • Present with Purpose: Develop and deliver design presentations and renderings to senior leadership, landlords, and review boards with clarity and confidence. 
  • Elevate the Brand: Uphold global design standards while capturing local culture and community in each space. 
  • Manage the Process: Oversee design timelines, drawing packages, and approvals to keep projects on track, on budget, and aligned with brand intent. 
  • Architectural Excellence: Review and ensure DD, CD, IFC set and FF&E shop drawings to meet the design intent and construction ability.  
  • Inspire the Team: Align and energize cross-functional partners around a shared design vision, mentoring junior designers and elevating creative output. 


a day in the life 

  • Responsible for designing and managing complex and high-profile projects from end-to-end in collaboration with cross-functional working team. Includes managing all design aspects of projects, including but not limited to spatial design (floor plan, ceiling design, interior elevations, interior and exterior built details,) storefront designs, custom fixture design, and any other design scope required to create a beautiful retail environment. 
  • In collaboration with leadership, responsible for creation and execution of design concepts and ensuring that the experience is realized in our spaces.  
  • Designing retail experiences that drive the brand experience. Uphold and preserve lululemon’s brand image and global design consistency. 
  • Review all project information including, but not limited to, local codes, permitting guidelines, site survey reports, and mall/landlord design requirements.  
  • Create presentations and renderings for approval to Senior Leadership and internal stakeholders. 
  • Deliver schematic design package to internal and external team. Coordinate and manage internal and external partners throughout project ensure the development of all project drawing phases are accurate, meet design quality standards, accessibility & building codes, and are on time + budget. 
  • Connecting with external partners to gain alignment and approval (e.g. presentations of concept to landlords, architectural review board, etc.).  
  • Acting as point of contact for all design/architectural issues within project. 
  • Reporting weekly milestones to internal leadership.  
  • Responsible for the approval of all millworks custom fixture shop drawings within the project. 
  • Aligning and inspiring team members to produce effective design solutions and communicate a clear brand vision. 
  • Site visits may be necessary. (This role is involved in all design from the contract administration phase through construction.) 


who you are 

You’re a visionary designer with a passion for retail environments and a knack for leading complex projects. You think strategically, design boldly, and communicate with clarity. You’re as comfortable sketching a concept as you are presenting to executives. 


  • Degree in Interior Design or Architecture (NCIDQ and/or LEED a plus) 
  • 7-10+ years of experience in retail design or architectural environments 
  • Proven experience leading and managing high-profile, multiple, and different phases design projects 
  • Expert in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp w/Enscape, and rendering tools 
  • Experience in US / Canada Permit process 
  • Strong communicator and visual storyteller with excellent presentation skills 
  • Collaborative leader who thrives in cross-functional environments 
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and stay cool under pressure 
  • Detail-obsessed, solution-oriented, and endlessly curious

compensation and benefits package
lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $103,500 - 135,900 CAD annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.

workplace arrangement

This role is classified as Hybrid under our SSC Workplace Policy: In-person collaboration and connection is important to our culture. Work is performed onsite, minimum 4 days per week.
