About this team:

The Store Planning team is an integral part of the product team, responsible for connecting the long-term product strategy with the strategic planning of our stores. We work closely with cross functional partners – including Planning, Merchandising, Store Design, FP&A, Real Estate, Operations and the Stores – to create an optimal store experience that aligns with the overarching product and merchandising strategies. Reporting directing to the Manager of Store Planning, the Senior Store Planner is a key member of the Store Planning team and will take a lead position in critical retail events such as Black Friday and Boxing Day, collaborating with various teams to guarantee seamless execution. Other responsibilities include coordinating tasks and processes across the Store Planning Team, support in topline store planning and ability to present and make recommendations to SVP’s, VP’s, Directors and Managers. 

 

A day in the life:

 

  • Topline Store Plan & Class Contributions: Support the topline store sales planning by ensuring class contributions and DC splits are accurate for the buy, working with internal teams to maintain alignment.
  • Buy Process Coordination: Coordinate team efforts by overseeing timing, deliverables, task delegation, check-ins, and ensuring smooth and efficient execution for each Buy Season.
  • Black Friday & Boxing Day Planning: Lead the store planning components for major events like Black Friday and Boxing Day. This includes creating analysis, making strategic recommendations, and presenting insights to senior leadership, up to the SVP level.
  • VBT Process Support: Assist with the VBT (Visual Blueprint Tool) process, including VBT checks/sign-offs and working with Finance and Real Estate on process alignment.
  • Process Optimization: Identify areas for improvement within existing tools and processes, taking proactive steps to implement solutions that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Special Projects & New Initiatives: Contribute to and support special projects and new initiatives, ensuring alignment with broader business goals.
  • Training & Onboarding: Assist in the training and onboarding of new team members, ensuring a smooth integration into the store planning team and processes.
  • Future Strategy Contribution: Collaborate with the Store Planning Manager and Director to contribute to future North America store planning strategies, helping to drive long-term success.
  • Manager Backup: Be prepared to cover and present in the absence of the Store Planning Manager, taking ownership of responsibilities and ensuring continuous progress

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, statistics or related field required
  • 5 – 7 years Planning Experience
  • Strong experience in retail store planning, merchandising, or related fields.
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale store planning initiatives, especially for major retail events.
  • Expertise in cross-functional collaboration, with a focus on aligning different teams toward common objectives.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and make recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High proficiency in Excel
  • A passion for lululemon products, data-driven insights and Vancouver

 

Additional Notes
 Authorization to work in Canada is required for this role. 

Compensation and Benefits Package 
lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $119,200-$156,500 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
