about this role

Reporting into the Senior Director, Store Development EMEA, the Director, Real Estate EMEA is responsible for overall management of real estate and lease administration for all existing and new store build outs in EMEA. Create the new store roll out plan across a 5 year horizon using marketplace intelligence to ensure Lululemon has stores in all the right markets, cities and districts to maximise guest acquisition and revenue. Lead the team to execute against this strategy.


Responsibilities include:

  • Lead new store opening process from strategic planning to real estate selection to ensure the best locations are sourced and the best deals negotiated.
  • Lead new store sign off process with SLT members. Responsible for articulating NSO strategy, location selection and deal structure.
  • Lead all real estate activities across all markets including real estate selection, deal negotiation & structuring, rent and rate payments and relationship management with landlords. Ensure adherence to all regional property law.
  • Negotiate the best deals for each store so that the lease is structured to ensure the highest possible profitability. Create individual solutions for each deal based on market norms and development.
  • Manage team that is responsible for all lease payments to be correct and on time across the full store portfolio. Ensure compliance with all lease obligations. Ensure all lease data is held accurately so that leases are accounted for correctly.
  • Own and develop the sweat index to inform where we open stores from country down to city district. Continue to develop the tool to add insight across all channels in the business and to give further knowledge on who our guest is.  

 

Qualifications:

  • University degree & RICS accreditation 
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in real estate
  • Must be versatile and able to manage multiple projects
  • Has the ability to communicate complex issues in laymen’s terms
  • Adept in cost-control management
