a day in the life
As a Senior Production Lead, you have a knowledge and desire for products and production. You plan and manage production lead time to ship quality products on-time. You are an integral point of contact for lululemon and embellishment partners to meet internal and external guest needs.
- Reports directly to Senior Manager, Wholesale Production.
- You are key contact of embellishment partners upon production in North America.
- Analyze vendors capabilities and capacity to allocate orders strategically.
- Develop new embellishment techniques to fulfill market trends.
- Build production Time and Action Calendar (T&A) per season – ensure cross functional partners are aligned with key dates and are updating T&A regularly.
- Track the status of INDC, development, buy ready, order placement, and production schedule to maintain required ex-factory dates.
- Schedule weekly meetings with embellishment partners for production status update.
- Lead costing negotiations and strategic sourcing efforts to achieve the target price.
- Create and maintain SOP’s to drive operational excellence
- Independently solve issues with collaboration with cross functional partners and work on improvement plans when issues arise and ensure that the plans are executed to successful completion
- Train the vendors on production and logistics policies, processes and IT systems; roll out new processes and systems to assigned vendors as needed
- Arrange and review vendor scorecards
- Take the lead in coordinating and managing various Production Org project initiatives. Always have a thinking hat in creating creative ideas for Production Org initiatives and processes
- Maintain close working relationships with embellishment partners and cross functional partners to ensure the finished goods are delivered on time.
- Send and receive packages
- Visit factories for production tracking, validate production planning, output & efficiency.
- Some travel to North America production facilities required.
qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Textile/Design, Business, Engineering, or technical area. (MBA / master’s degree preferred.)
- 8+ years apparel industry experience (preferably within the Production and Sourcing)
- Strong knowledge of apparel construction, fabrics, trims, decoration techniques, and costing.
- Experience in wholesale business and campus/teams strongly preferred.
- Proven self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and pivots to react to changing priorities
- Ability to work autonomously but also cross-functionally with various stakeholders
- Strong analytic skills, strategic thinking and ability to approach key decisions and undefined challenges in a structured way.
- Facilitation and issue resolution skills; ability to drive consensus.
- Ability to work and deliver in changing environments, under limited guidance while adhering to specified deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products

Compensation and Benefits Package
lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $103,500-135,900 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
