about this team 

Vendor Operations & Engagement reports into the Global Sourcing team and is part of lululemon’s Supply Chain organization. This team takes the lead in creating, delivering and sustaining tools, processes and programs to support the Product and Supply Chain organizations and our product vendor base. 


The Vendor Operations & Engagement team cuts across strategy and operations to ensure lululemon has a robust vendor base to meet growing demands across geographies, product categories and new ventures. Three key areas of focus are: Global Sourcing Operations support with planning, tracking and delivery of strategic initiatives and implementation of new tools and processes; Vendor Operations, including management of the new vendor approval process (NVAP), ongoing vendor updates, documentation, and support with vendor-facing initiatives; and Vendor Engagement & Communications, including design and delivery of various engagement and impact programs, central communications and storytelling, and vendor meetings and events.


core responsibilities 

The Vendor Communications Manager takes the lead in creating and delivering communication that support both our product vendor base and internal Supply Chain and Product teams. This role is primarily responsible for the creation and delivery of vendor communications and the management of centralized communications to product vendors, working with cross-functional teams to ensure vendor-facing communications, online portals, training material, and documentation are accurate, clear, concise. and in our brand voice. The Vendor Communications Manager has a deep understanding of our vendor base and an ability to see the big picture, understanding the impacts of change to vendor-facing communication, documentation, systems, tools and processes. Core responsibilities include:


  • Management of tools and processes and the delivery of vendor communications via Global Family communication channels
  • Global Family portal administration, responsible for identifying and resolving issues, site design, user account management, engaging content, documents on the site, and reporting of site usage metrics.
  • Report on vendor communications to leadership and key stakeholders
  • Document management, file sharing and storage systems for vendor-facing documentation and ensuring vendor records comply with lululemon’s security measures in alignment with Technology’s long-term strategy
  • Define metrics and KPIs to monitor the effectiveness of vendor communication efforts
  • Work with cross-functional partners to ensure that the needs of our vendors are considered and included in the development and execution of communication, tools, systems, processes, and initiatives
  • In collaboration with internal communications teams, create vendor storytelling for internal and guest-facing channels
  • Work in collaboration with internal business partners on the evolution and execution of vendor onboarding and training programs, including training material and documentation
  • Support with planning & delivery of vendor engagement events as required


qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a vertical apparel retail environment
  • Superior communication skills both written and oral
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, SharePoint and experience with Smartsheet
  • Demonstrated ability to independently build strategies, develop processes, establish implementation plans, and drive effective and timely execution
  • Ability to draw content out of internal sources and produce clear and compelling communications in a variety of formats
  • Proven ability to excel in a highly collaborative environment, with a passion for cross-functional engagement, enrollment and alignment
  • Ability to think critically and interface with leadership, subject matter experts, business users, and IT partners to solve complex business problems
  • Superior analytical skills, with emphasis on identifying requirements
  • Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple priorities, work in a high-pressure environment and deliver high quality product under tight timelines

compensation and benefits package  

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $103,500 - $135,900 CADannually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
