about this team

Reporting directly to the Facilities Manager, the Building Assistant plays a key role in supporting the efficient operation and maintenance of office facilities at lululemon. This position is responsible for daily operational upkeep, project assistance, and facilitating clear communication with both colleagues and external vendors, while maintaining an understanding of overall SSC operations.

 

core responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day office and building functions to maintain a productive workspace.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment, facilities and systems to ensure optimal operation and safety.
  • Respond to all ServiceNow requests and complaints regarding maintenance or facility issues.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment to reduce downtime and prolong lifespan.
  • Maintain logs and records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and building management for specialized repairs, servicing or inspections.
  • Support emergency response efforts such as fire drills and evacuation procedures.
  • Order and manage inventory of maintenance supplies and replacement parts.
  • Report and escalate major maintenance issues or capital repairs to management.
  • Complete minor maintenance and repairs as required; including but not limited to filter replacement, lamp replacement, housekeeping of common areas, washroom and general office repair work.
  • Occasional front desk coverage, including tasks like issuing access cards, welcoming guests, and assisting with general office needs.
  • Proficient in using basic hand and power tools for routine maintenance tasks.
  • Ordering, assembly, and moving furniture around and between offices.
  • Create and maintain processes and procedure documents pertaining to building operations.
  • Interact cross-functionally with all internal departments and support core lululemon teams with events.
  • Undertake special assignments and projects on behalf of Facilities management when needed.

 

qualifications

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in general maintenance, office support, or a related field
  • Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written
  • Outstanding customer service, organizational and time management skills
  • Team player and ability to work independently
  • Commitment to diversity and inclusion
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and climb ladders

compensation and benefits package 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $52,500 - $68,900annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
