about this team 

The Go-To-Market Evolution Team sits at the heart of the end-to-end value chain transformation of how lululemon operates. We act as an internal consultancy that identifies, re-imagines and conceptualizes optimization opportunities while providing strategic support, evaluating & driving synergies, streamlining processes, and making actionable recommendations to raise efficiency and drive profitability.  

 

We always have the guest in mind when we identify, and drive integration needs across the value chain and make recommendations for action in alignment with the Company’s overall strategy.  The team members are essential thought partners with several areas of the Company, including executive leadership, global brand, regional brand, merchandising, planning, design, supply chain and other functions that support how we create and sell our product.  

 

This means taking a holistic approach to meet our guest expectations by improving our GTM engine, including processes and timelines, establish a KPI driven approach on how we go to market that complements our creativity, and increase our partner collaboration while yielding higher quality processes, better strategy integration and an authentic engagement with all involved parties.

 

The selected candidate will be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and team leader who can provide drive future growth opportunities, along with strategic direction and prioritization while integrating cross-functional strategies into the GTM process. 

 

core responsibilities 

The Director, GTM Evolution is responsible for holding a specialized portfolio within the broader transformation of our end-to-end go-to-market value chain. They know the intricacies of the entire GTM process as their work cuts across all the specialized/functional areas. This person is responsible for driving the multi-year GTM transformation roadmap, they will ensure on-time delivery of all workstreams and manage risks and resourcing across the portfolio. They will lead complex and impactful initiatives and workstreams underneath the overall transformation umbrella by facilitating working sessions and driving decisions with Director-thru-SLT-level partners and stakeholders. They will deliver executive communication and reporting, managing materials, updates, and other documentation as needed and will support effective decision making. 

 

They will partner with leaders across the Organization to deliver lululemon’s transformation agenda by overseeing the large-scale business transformation portfolio inclusive of scoping, planning, project management, exploration, solutioning (incl. process mapping). They will work with enterprise transformation, org effectiveness, change management, product management, technology, department operations and the business to plan and execute implementation and support the business through hyper care. 

 

Each day will look different in this role, including activities like clarifying strategic questions, project managing workstreams, design solutions and delivering solutions: 

 

design & deliver the future state 

  • Partner with SVP, GTM and senior leasers to design, pilot, and scale a world-class Go-to-Market operating model, embedding industry leading practices and AI capabilities  
  • Reimagine process from annual product strategy through to buy confirmation, enabling smarter, faster more strategic decision-making 
  • Operationalize innovation tools, ensuring seamless integration with cross-functional teams 
  • Drive improvement in the GTM process by applying process design solutions across the entire end-to-end go-to-market value chain with strong analytical focus and understanding on guest-centric strategies 
  • Drive the articulation of the GTM evolution vision and strategy, championing it with stakeholders and drive its execution 
  • Work with teams to build out detailed design of activities, dependencies and processes that support all L1 milestones and L2 sub-meetings

  • Own and lead delivery of program objectives, ensuring scope, timelines and KPIs are achieved with measurable impact 
  • Owns the planning and execution of the GTM transformation portfolio managing dependencies, risk and delivery across all projects 
  • Establish frameworks for value realization, governance, and milestone management to sustain transformation at scale 
  • Anticipate risks and dependencies; proactively activate partners and insights to resolve challenges before they impact results 
  • Lead, coach and develop the GTM Evolution team members on identifying opportunities and requirements that will unlock efficiency towards our goals and enable the adherence of the current and future GTM process 


cross-functional influence 

  • Establish a connected value chain vision across all segments driving L1 design and alignment with stakeholders, portfolio governance 
  • Lead and facilitates workshops with functional teams to define the problem, develop options, and design solutions 
  • Build trusted relationships at multiple levels of the organization to provide clarity and garner buy-in for ongoing initiatives 
  • Collaborate with other teams involved in business transformation programs (e.g., enterprise transformation, change management, communications, learning/training, org design, product management/technology) to plan and deliver against transformation objectives on-time and on-budget

  • Partner with Change and Enterprise Transformation teams to create strategies, operating models, ways of working and key supporting processes that embed Go to Market as a core growth enabler 
  • Support enterprise-level, cross-program prioritization, dependency mapping, and planning 

 

qualifications 

A deep understanding of a vertically integrated retail – has 10+ years of experience working within a Product function that has led to deep understanding of best practices and processes or enterprise transformation function, preferably building and rolling out best practices and/or processes across brand and marketing.  Previous exposure to Brand, Marketing and channel and/or experience in an international region is a bonus.  

 

Exposure to Hyper-Growth that required adaptability as a leader to evolve the team & processes. Exposure either as part of organization or group that experienced significant growth.   

 

Global in Understanding.  Has strong working relationships globally; experienced in supporting a global framework both regionally and HQ.  

 

Guest Centric - almost obsessed with the path-to-purchase and committed to enhancing the product and marketing along the way. 

 

 

  • Minimum of 10+ yrs of relevant professional experience in this field of work, including consulting and/or direct business management 
  • Deep understanding of apparel value chain, specifically merch/merch planning/inventory processes 
  • Experience in managing complex workstreams by deeply immersing yourself to understand dependencies while balancing several stakeholders (consulting and/or business transformation experience a plus) 
  • Strong facilitation and problem-solving skills to drive alignment and innovative solutions 
  • Strategic vision and creative thinking: ability to look beyond existing paradigms, and change the organization according to new business concepts 
  • Ability to drive problem solutioning: frames problems, guides analytical modeling, and through analysis provides insights into solutions 
  • Excellent communication skills, being able to distill complex workstreams into digestible frameworks  
  • Drive continuous improvement and increased efficiency and effectiveness as business needs shifts 
  • Proven track record of building relationships, establishing rapport, credibility and trust 
  • Self-motivated, passionate, detail-oriented, multi-tasker extraordinaire who thrives in a fast-paced environment

compensation and benefits package  

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $157,400 - $206,600annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program and equity offerings, subject to program eligibility requirements.
