about the role 

The Director, Strategy & Analytics will lead all enabling functions within Global Procurement, will hold the procurementEvo strategy (procurement strategy as an enabler to the business) and develop/own strategies for and leadership of our digital procurement, SRM, TPRM, SI&D, Responsible Procurement and Value Analytics towers. This Director will be responsible for delivering on leading practice processes and tools that support and drive the evolution of Procurement from operational/transactional to strategic.

  • Lead and develop team members 
  • Driving a fundamental shift from reactive procurement to proactive and strategic procurement
  • Build strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide procurement partnership to internal category teams and also to partner stakeholder teams like Legal, FP&A, Cyber, Technology Vendor Management, Enterprise Planning
  • Develop, seek alignment on and implement procurementEvo enabling strategies for Digital Procurement, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), Third Party Risk Management (TPRM), SI&D, Responsible Procurement (RP) Value Analytics & Market Intelligence and Process
  • Govern the global procurement policy, partnering closely with finance and legal to ensure continuous alignment with legal and finance policies 
  • Owner of the digital procurement roadmap, empowered to solve for procurement capabilities through discovery, selection and onboarding of the right technology to enable procurement process – in partnership with technology, finance systems
  • Lead advancements in procurement reporting and data analytics, powering through AI to drive thoughtful and detailed spend and contract visibility
  • Partner with Director, International Procurement to ensure alignment and standardization of Process, Policy and Tools with Global Procurement
  • Partner closely with FP&A to lead the Procurement Value Delivery process and value capture methodology
  • Build and implement our Value Analytics and Market Intelligence tower within S&A with intention to centralize analytics under S&A as a service to category management – currently functions that are outsourced
  • Developing procurement strategy, digital and analytics strategy, reporting, team evaluations, process improvement, policy and process governance


qualifications

  • 10+ years Procurement experience
  •  5+ years Category Management experience within indirect goods and services
  • Bachelor
  • Preferred: MBA, SCMP or equivalent professional designation
  • Strategy: Advanced – Develops, aligns and approves functional and S&A pillar strategies. Knowledgeable of industry and market leading procurement strategies and operating models. Guides category management in and drives alignment to future strategies in S&A
  • Process/Continuous Improvement: Advanced – develops and improves upon existing processes that focuses on delivery of value through procurement process that is rooted in stakeholder partnership and agility
  • Business Relationship: Advanced - Has oversight of stakeholder issues and drivers. Uses knowledge when building relationships and determining appropriate action on stakeholder input and expectations. Has the ability to handle complex issues. Takes ownership of issues and sees them through resolution while providing guidance and support to other team members.
  • Technology: Has comprehensive background in enablement of procurement process through technology. Has ability to advance digital procurement roadmap through solving by business capability. Strong background in partnering with cross-functional teams to align technology solutions to process desires and outcomes.
  • Analytics: Advanced. Leads the charge to develop and bring to life procurement analytics needs. Whether optimizing Procurement Spend Cube, Development of contract landscape and reporting, developmentand oversight over full procurement reporting and analytics requirements
  • Category management: Advanced - Develops and approves strategies and buying programs for a range of commodities. Knowledgeable of the geographic, technical and commercial features. Knowledgeable of supply/demand dynamics and industry cost structures and mechanisms
  • Sourcing: Advanced - Works independently or facilitates teams to generate creativity in creating options contracting, sourcing, relationships or risk improvement, using the category sourcing frameworks. Validates assumptions and robustness of strategies"
  • Negotiation: Advanced - Fully comprehends when and how to negotiate. Has successfully conducted an assortment of negotiations to accomplish organization objectives. May lead some strategic and business-critical negotiations. Can adapt negotiation tactics. Ensures the organization has sufficient time to negotiate and that all negotiations result in a signed contract. Is able to change the negotiators internally based on the needs of the specific negotiation.
  • Project Management: Advanced - Manages complex projects, producing multiple project deliverables simultaneously. Uses advanced techniques to manage projects, including control and reporting strategies to monitor changes.
  • Advanced MS Office skills
  • P2P/e-sourcing platform knowledge is an asset

Compensation and Benefits Package 
lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $157,400 - $206,600annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program and equity offerings, subject to program eligibility requirements.
