about this team

This Sr. Manager of Governance, Planning & Reporting role is in the Technology PMO. This team is responsible for establishing and driving a centralized approach to managing technology portfolio, programs, and projects for the overall benefit of lululemon’s Technology Organization. The TPMO is focused on unlocking the power of technology, providing visibility, and enabling consistency through governance across enterprise and technology portfolios. We ensure the effective prioritization, optimal delivery and value realization of Technology. 

 

core responsibilities

In this organization, you will oversee a team of Program Managers and play a leadership role with the  Portfolio Management workstream and Central Strategy & Operations Functions. You will work with Technology Leaders and key business stakeholders to ensure we are enabling value driven prioritization for our guests. Key Responsibilities for this role include: 

  • Establishing Governance Frameworks: Develop and enforce governance policies, standards and best practices to ensure consistency, compliance and alignment across each portfolio/domain in Technology.
  • Project Planning and Roadmap Management: Oversee the creation and maintenance of Centralized Technology Roadmaps and Technology's Annual Operating Planning Process. This role also is responsible for leading the Technology Review Council Process to ensure Tech Leadership and alignment for funding release.
  • Risk Management, Communication, and Continuous Improvement: Work in lockstep with Enterprise Governance Council to identify potential risks and strategic mitigation strategies. This role is also responsible for creating a Centre of Excellence for Program Management and Technology Delivery to ensure adherence to governance standards and delivery best practices.
  • Data Analytics and Reporting: Oversee the collection, analysis, and presentation of Portfolio/domain level performance data, ensuring the delivery of timely, accurate, and accountable reports for stakeholders at all levels.
  • Performance & Financial Tracking and Insights: Establish enterprise guidance for key project/program metrics, identification of trends, and key KPIs to drive decision-making, optimization of project execution, and domain improvement.
  • Stakeholder Communication and alignment: Build Enterprise scaled process and reporting to communication project status, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organization objectives and fostering data-drive decision-making
  • Champion the use of collaboration tools (e.g., Miro, Jira, Confluence) and ensure teams have the right tools to manage programs effectively, facilitating collaboration and data-driven decision-making.

 

qualifications

  • 12+ years working in Technology or a related field  
  • 10+ years of experience in Agile Delivery and 7+ years in a PMO 
  • 7+ years of experience in senior leadership roles directly leading people to deliver technical programs or products from inception to delivery
  • Proven track record and experience working in a global company with technology teams in India and NAM to be able to guide / coach the program managers in engagement model
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) and Change Management Certification (PROSCI) nice to have  
  • Experience in delivering change to multiple different user groups (E.g. guest support and DCs) vs single user group, number of teams that need to contribute to delivering a program (e.g. there is a difference between delivering a program which requires teams only in one Directors area vs going across multiple Directors) 
  • Ability to translate ideas into clear, high impact communications to executives, managers, employees and business partners  
  • Passionate for problem solving and deep expertise in critical thinking to unblock the team with minimum guidance 
  • Ability to excel in an ambiguous environment  
  • Demonstrated ability to function in a fast-paced, multi-program environment with changing priorities   
  • Ability to anticipate potential problems and proactively troubleshoot to resolve issues  
  • Good leadership skills including the ability to influence and gain consensus in the absence of direct authority and beyond the scope of the position   
  • Proven results working with global and remote teams across different time zones

compensation and benefits package 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $158,900 - $208,500 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
