about this team

The Global Packaging and Labelling team is responsible for planning, designing, developing, testing, and producing end-to-end packaging and labels. We work in close partnership with cross-functional teams across the business and partners throughout supply chain. We meet the needs of our product, guests, markets and channels in order to achieve our strategic priorities and business goals. We ensure packaging and labelling materials are production ready and support successful product delivery. 

 

core responsibilities

The Senior Production Designer is responsible for creating production artwork, production planning, and leading technical aspects of Packaging Production Design including technical tools support, troubleshooting, and training:

 

  • Create print-ready production artwork for packaging 
  • Review production artwork with design, development, copy, and localization teams for approval
  • Create and lead production artwork via automation, primarily in Adobe, for the dept
  • Maintain digital technical tools such as Adobe libraries and server file management 
  • Support management with resource planning 
  • Escalate and action potential process and/or technical improvements in order to increase efficiency and accuracy 
  • Support the creative and production brief development process as needed
  • Support the creation of production artwork guidelines as needed 
  • Support external partners such as creative agencies and production vendors with defining production specifications and capabilities, and technical file building methodology, to ensure producibility. 
  • Support junior- to mid- level Production Designer with technical SME

 

qualifications

  • Graphic Design and/or Production Design degree or diploma
  • 5+ years of experience in Production Design and Print Production
  • Experience leading production projects from start to final delivery
  • Breadth of experience with production artwork creation for various print mediums (i.e. packaging, collateral, signage, billboards, print advertising, etc…)
  • Strong verbal and written English language communications skills
  • Expert level technical expertise w/ Adobe suite including Photoshop
  • Experience mentoring junior production designers as it relates to troubleshooting 
  • Experience coordinating with production vendors

compensation and benefits package 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $103,500-$135,900 CADannually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.

workplace arrangement

In-person collaboration and office-based work is necessary and important for this role. Work is performed onsite, 5 days a week, depending on role requirements.
