about this team

The Raw Material Senior Developer is a subject matter expert who drives strategic and long-range developments cross functionally. They work on technical surface interest developments, new innovative technology of complex performance athletic product, new print technology and garment dye techniques that innovates Lululemon RM offerings. 

Working with Vendors at 360 degrees on new aesthetic and innovative ideas.

 

core responsibilities

  • A Raw Material Senior Developer will be multiple POD focused providing technical expertise in inducting new and existing technologies to deliver specific solves and business needs.
  • To maintain current knowledge on vendors and industry developments to deliver print and garment dye innovation opportunities to set Lululemon apart from its competitors.
  • Enrolling cross functional partners to create awareness on print and garment dye techniques, innovation, and the technical capability of vendors to deliver the products required.
  • To provide to Vendors technical surface inspiration to create the best-in-class premium product in the Lululemon assortment.
  • To recommend appropriate technique based on concept/design brief.
  • To cooperate with cross functional partners to be sure that technical developments are meeting the cost objectives and can be delivered based on the GTM calendar/season.
  • Research and build strong partnership with existing and new vendors by providing development direction and problem solving

 

qualifications

  • 7 years of apparel industry experience in surface interest developments (colour, print and garment dye)
  • Successful in commercializing products on various calendar tracks
  • Passionate about mentoring, coaching, and training people.
  • Detailed understanding of product creation calendar timeline and able to work against a deadline for multiple overlapping seasons.
  • Knowledge of industry testing standards/test reports.
  • Strong understanding of cross-functional team accountabilities and requirements preferred, including design, sourcing, merchandising and quality assurance and calendar.
  • Accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment with a dynamic work flow
  • To provide expertise and solution driven support for the designers and garment technical teams.

compensation and benefits package 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $119,200-156,500 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program and, subject to program eligibility requirements.
