a day in the life: what you’ll do

Responsible for managing the Inventory platform at lululemon, ensuring an accurate view of Inventory across the globe for our stores, warehouses, and financial systems. Manage the engineering team, providing technical expertise in the design, build, and launch of new systems supporting multiple stakeholders. In addition to Inventory, must manage audited sales, stock ledger, and a centralized price master. Lead technology strategies in partnership with teams across the enterprise. Manage the teams that drive and support Inventory Systems. Define the 3–5-year strategy for areas within the Corporate Finance and Inventory Technology department. Manage the Capex and Opex for the department (for the defined scope of applications) and ensure value is delivered against spending. Ensure business service SLAs are met for all services. Build, lead, and scale team of engineers and architects. Partner with enterprise architecture, PMO, and business teams to implement technology solutions. Define processes, including project delivery and systems reliability. 

 

Telecommuting permitted up to 1 day/week. 

Must have a willingness and ability to travel domestically 10% of the time.

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

 

qualifications

Must have a Bachelor’s degree Information Technology or a related field plus eight (8) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in information technology. 

 

Of the required experience must have 6 years of experience in all of the following (which may be gained concurrently):

  • Serving in a people leader role including overseeing multiple teams across multiple work locations.
  • Leading engineering teams focused on seamless data integration using modern architecture including Kafka and Snowflake.

 

Of the required experience must have 6 years of experience as a direct supervisor.   

 

Of the required experience must have 6 years of experience in all of the following (which may be gained concurrently): 

  • Cloud ecosystems including OCI, AWS, or Azure; and
  • Oracle Retail platforms, including RMS, RPM, and RESA.

 

Of the required experience must have 5 years of experience in all of the following (which may be gained concurrently): 

  • Using Kafka Messaging queue and Postgres Db to expose sellable inventory;
  • Training AWS machine learning model for inventory and pricing use cases;
  • Using Gitlab for continuous automated testing and deployment; and, 
  • Using Pl/SQL to build integration for Invoice matching system.

compensation and benefits package 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $210,000.00 - $230,000.00 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
