About this team

The Australia and New Zealand (AUSNZ) Brand team is part of the Asia Pacific (APAC) Brand Marketing organisation. We lead lululemon’s brand strategy and expression across the market, ensuring the global brand vision comes to life with clarity and consistency, and resonates with local guests. This team works cross-functionally to drive integration, focus and cultural impact.


The Social Media Manager sits within the Brand team and leads the strategy and execution of of our organic social channels, paid influencer partnerships for brand moments, and partners with paid media teams to drive further engagement and reach. This role is about creating and amplifying brand storytelling that connects with our community and culture, while ensuring global consistency and local relevance.


Working with agency and internal partners, you’ll ensure our social presence is both locally relevant and globally aligned. The role requires a high degree of autonomy, cross-functional collaboration, thought leadership and deep functional expertise in social media to successfully deliver integrated, insight-led plans with measurable results.


A day in the life 
  • Own and develop an audience-led social media strategy for AUSNZ covering campaign and always-on brand-focused content, driving measurable results
  • Bring global and regional strategies to life through locally relevant social execution
  • Responsibly allocate social media budget – applying learnings to optimise investment across content production, paid, owned and earned tactics in support of campaign and business objectives
  • Be the social media subject matter expert for the market, consulting cross-functional teams on best practices and how to bring initiatives to life through social – including events, Ambassador storytelling, community moments and store experiences
  • Develop creative briefs and deliverables for campaigns and always-on content, guiding the development of assets with agency and cross-functional partners
  • Collaborate with PR, Influencer and Community teams to deliver integrated earned moments by leveraging media owners, influencers, Ambassadors, friends of the brand and brand experiences to drive conversation and relevance
  • Partner with paid media teams to amplify organic content through targeted boosting and dark posting, extending the reach and effectiveness of our storytelling
  • Guide and review creative output from agencies and partners to ensure alignment with campaign objectives, brand and social best practices 
  • Regularly report on the performance of social content and campaigns against defined KPIs, translating data into learnings and future recommendations
  • Keep up to date with relevant social trends, platform updates and audience behaviour shifts to inform planning, content evolution and testing strategies


Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of working in social media, ideally for a premium global brand
  • A genuine interest in movement and community – particularly running and training cultures – and how these show up on social media
  • Deep understanding of the digital landscape in AUSNZ, including creator culture, social trends, culture-first media channels and social platforms
  • Expertise in writing and managing creative briefs that inspire agency and creative teams, and deliver against brand and business objectives
  • Skilled in interpreting performance data and translating insights into action
  • Experience managing budgets, with a proven ability to allocate spend effectively to support business and brand objectives
  • Ability to work across time zones and within a matrixed structure, partnering with global and regional teams
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
