About this team
The Copy Manager, Asia Pacific plays a key role in shaping how lululemon’s brand voice shows up across one of the most culturally diverse and dynamic regions in the world.
Based in Hong Kong as a regional hub, this role operates at the intersection of global brand intent and local expression. The Copy Manager helps translate strategic ideas into narratives that resonate across APAC markets, while contributing regional perspective to the ongoing evolution of the global brand.
A day in the life
CREATIVE OVERSIGHT: Own the quality, clarity, and effectiveness of copy and storytelling across APAC.
- Develop creative briefs, copy strategy, and execution in collaboration with cross-functional partners (Marketing, Strategy, Product, R&D).
- Drive concept-to-execution of brand and product storytelling across channels (campaigns, retail, digital, film, product).
- Identify brand creative opportunities to ensure consistency and clarity within and across channels.
- Provide expert copy direction across campaigns, brand identity, film, digital, and product storytelling.
- Translate global brand intent into clear, relevant, and actionable regional copy.
- Act as the regional authority on brand voice, tone, and copy quality.
BRAND & MARKET INTEGRATION: Ensure global ideas land effectively across APAC markets and that regional insight informs brand outcomes.
- Apply cultural insight to adapt and execute global creative ideas across diverse APAC markets.
- Support markets in expressing local relevance while maintaining brand coherence.
- Collaborate with global teams on regional and global initiatives.
- Contribute APAC perspective to global briefs, concepts, and creative development.
- Interpret brand and campaign performance data to inform copy strategy and creative execution.
- Drive alignment across Brand, Creative, Retail, and Marketing teams.
OPERATIONAL & EDITORIAL MANAGEMENT:Enable clarity, speed, and consistency through ownership of copy processes and execution.
- Own copy standards, editorial quality, and approval decision-making across APAC
- Define and manage editorial workflows and approval processes to support efficient delivery.
- Ensure projects are executed on time and on budget.
- Manage and direct Tier 3 and Tier 4 creative agencies and contractors.
- Develop and drive creative initiatives based on project and business needs.
- Lead cross-functional ideation sessions to support strong creative briefs and outcomes.
- Define presentation strategies and approaches to secure buy-in from senior stakeholders.
MENTORSHIP & ENABLEMENT: Build copy capability and confidence across the organization as the first dedicated copy role in APAC.
- Act as an educational resource on copy, language, and narrative across teams.
- Mentor peers, cross-functional partners, and stakeholders on brand voice and storytelling.
- Provide clear, actionable feedback to elevate copy quality across markets.
- Support teams in applying narrative frameworks and verbal principles consistently.
Qualifications:
- Senior-level writing experience with strong strategic and executional capability.
- Expert in turning guest and consumer insights into impactful creative.
- Strong editorial judgement with a clear point of view.
- Confident conceptual thinker and creative collaborator.
- Advanced timeline management and coordination skills.
- Executive-level presentation and communication skills.
- Excellent verbal and written English.
- Background in sports, performance, lifestyle, or premium consumer brands is a strong plus.
- Additional language capability is a plus, particularly:
- Cantonese
- Mandarin
- Japanese
- Korean
