about this team

The Risk & Insurance team manages lululemon’s global insurance program protecting its people, assets, inventory and operations. This team oversees new insurance placements, renewals, claims and works closely with brokers and insurers. In addition, they also provide advisory support cross-functionally for contracts, leases, events, vendor relationships and many other initiatives.


core responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the global insurance program including strategy, renewals and coverage analysis across coverage lines such as property, liability, cargo, workers compensation and specialty lines.

  • Oversee claims management across all lines of coverage working with adjusters, insurers, counsel and other stakeholders.

  • Provide guidance on contracts, leases, vendor engagements, events, productions, and new initiatives.

  • Manage insurance budgets, annual forecasts, ensure invoice payment completion (globally), and partner closely with finance and FP&A.

  • Lead relationships with insurance brokers and key insurance partners. Review benchmarking, market reviews, and program design.

  • Support global operations for retail stores, distribution centers, and offices, including international locations. Quick action to any urgent insurance or risk matters.

  • Deliver annual board level updates on risk and insurance activity.

  • Responsible for a team of analysts who support with corporate insurance compliance and claims activity.


qualifications

  • Experience leading corporate risk and insurance programs within a complex organization, preferably with global operations.

  • Expertise across multiple insurance lines including property, liability, workers compensation, cargo and other specialty coverages.

  • Proven ability managing insurer and broker relationships and leading complex renewals.

  • Prior experience working cross functionally with legal, finance and operational teams regarding contracts, claims, and risk mitigation strategies.

  • Ability to assess, explain and manage risk exposures in a practical manner with the ability to explain complex information clearly.

  • High degree of independence, judgement and accountability

Compensation and Benefits Package 
lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $134,100 - $176,000annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
