About this team

As part of the global Communications function, this role reports to the Senior Manager, Communications & PR, APAC and will be responsible for crafting clear and engaging communications across a wide range of subjects and channels. As the Communications Lead, you are a key point of contact for cross-functional partners from across the business. You thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and are able to meet time-sensitive deadlines.

Supporting integrated communications strategies, you are a compelling storyteller. Your work involves change and crisis communications, fostering two-way dialogue with our leadership team, and ensuring information is shared with our employees in a timely and considered way. With sound judgment and impeccable writing skills, this role is a key connector of cross-functional partners and can easily take abstract and complicated issues and turn them into simple and powerful narratives. Operating with a global mindset, you know that communication plays a crucial role in employee engagement, and you’re always looking at new ways to innovate in this space. 


A day in the life 
  • Support business objectives through strategic and impactful communications including (but not limited to) weekly newsletters, change management communications, presentations and speaking notes, editorial stories, intranet blog posts, copywriting and executive messages
  • You own the planning, execution and content development for high touch internal engagement events, such as The Huddles, Kick off and Game Day (to name a few)
  • Package communications in a clear and visual way through engaging presentations and graphic design
  • In partnership with the Senior Manager, Communications & PR you foster relationships with key regional and global stakeholders to fluidly communicate company messaging, localising as necessary and driving engagement across SSC, DC, and Retail teams 
  • Work as a cross-functional partner and consultant – you are a trusted, go-to person for leaders in the AU/NZ business
  • Lead change communication programs that instill trust, and focus on retention and employee experience and engagement
  • Create and execute communications project plans, timelines, and defined deliverables that shape our culture, drive engagement, and deliver results
  • Provide communications guidance and support on sensitive issues to our Guest Education Centre (GEC)
  • Lead the creation of internal videos, including script writing, prepping speakers and working with external vendors
  • Continually improve, measure, and evaluate effectiveness of employee communications strategy and methods


Qualifications:
  • Have a post-secondary degree in Communications, Journalism or related field, and 5+ years professional experience in internal/corporate communications
  • Outstanding writer and storyteller with a talent for crafting a range of content including technical, change communications and inspirational
  • Experience in a fast-paced and unpredictable environment; ability to work well under tight timelines
  • Ability to work effectively and collaborate within a team
  • Graphic and web design skills highly regarded
  • External communications experience considered an asset
  • Experience with communications software/program Poppulo considered an asset
