a day in the life

The Privacy Program Manager will engage Security, Product, Marketing, Technology, and Digital teams at multiple levels across the company to drive effective and efficient privacy response processes and drive compliance within our Global Privacy Program. The role will work alongside Engineering, Security and Legal to build and integrate privacy-by-design principles. Strong program management skills for organizing information, breaking down complex problems, and working effectively in situations involving uncertainty are must-haves.

  • Conduct ongoing review, gap analysis and update of the current privacy program and policies to follow applicable data protection laws.
  • Analyze and understand data flows to identify solutions to current and future privacy issues.
  • Manage cross-functional projects to implement improved privacy processes.
  • Proactively research current privacy standards and future standards that are relevant to organization.
  • Create privacy initiatives and training, and cultivate a culture emphasis on data privacy.
  • Lead and develop team members (currently Privacy Analyst).

 

qualifications  

  • Post-secondary education in law, computer science, software engineering, or business administration.
  • PMP certification considered an asset
  • CIPP/CIPM certification is considered an asset
  • Experience with Privacy & Compliance 
  • Experience as a project manager
  • Strong leadership, sound judgment, critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Strong vendor management and negotiation skills
  • Aptitude to learn and manage change
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to drive technical execution teams with competing priorities towards project objectives and timelines
  • Ability to successfully manage priorities within deadlines in a complex and rapidly evolving organization
  • Knowledge of retail environment an asset
  • 7-10+ years of project management/industry work experience would be ideal; but 4-5 years also acceptable
  • Familiarity with IT SDLC processes (waterfall and agile) and compliance requirements such as PCI & SOX also ideal

Compensation and Benefits Package 
lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $135,300 - $177,600annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.

This role is classified as In-Person under our SSC Workplace Policy: In-person collaboration and connection is important to our culture. Work is performed onsite, minimum 4 days per week.
